So Id say this mystery falls a step above a cozy mystery. Like a cozy mystery on steroids that takes place in Paris plus involves a women escaping a cheating ex husband ( with sooo much drama including two kids with his mistress that were 5 years old and the fmc had no idea about the affair or kids). She gets put of the country to Paris and gets embroiled in sex, lies and stolen family historical documents. Shes in over her head and gets a new man to warm her bed and help guide her to solve the mystery.

I wouldn't call this a romance necessarily. There's romantic elements or a hope for a new romance but overall not a romance so dont go into this thinking its a romance but if you like xlcozy mysteries and drama from a bastard of a ex husband definitely pick this up.

I got this book from Libby (overdrive) at my lubrary.
