it was amazing
bookshelves: to-read

Marbeth Skwarczynski wrote a story I didn't know I needed! I've always enjoyed the book of Ruth, but Skwarczyski makes it come alive in a very real and honest way that makes you face the horrors of the time while revealing just how gracious and loving the God of the Old Testament is.

"Princess of Moab" shows you the unthought-of journey of the beginning of the book of Ruth as Ruth joins a new-to-her culture, religion, and becomes familiar with the laws of the Israelites. It also shifts the Bible into chronological order for the reader, bringing in other familiar Biblical stories. Historical content is shown in its real and transparent form, plus she leads you on Ruth's authentic and emotional journey as she discovers true love (We all thought we loved Boaz, wait until you meet Mahlon!), true commitment, and learns how to embrace the life the One True God has in store for her.

It's a must-read for everyone!
