The Mill on the Floss is funny and moving and philosophical.
Funny? - far from it.Moving? - not even close. It can "move" you (or rather prompt you) to flush it down the toilet.
Philosophical? - Are you sure we're talking about the same book.
Claire: I love how you summed it up. I just wished they had drowned earlier in the novel.

After initially enjoying it I am finding the final book almost unreadable. I couldn't careless about the characters and the book only deteriorated once old man Tulliver died.
I totally agree with that though I personally felt I didn't like either characters.. I felt there was too much stupidity going around in the book. Could be just me, but.. Haha! I’m really enjoying this book, but this is probably the best review on this site.
