Just wanted to inform the group that Jolene was kind enough to volunteer to bring you a new and exciting challenge in August. She will be a temporary mod for the length of the challenge. Thanks Jolene for helping us out!

So, as you know we've been discussing our policy regarding advertising for a little while now, and Jackie, JoLene and I have come up with a new set of rules and group info that we think is clear and fair.

Honestly, there's not much change to our advertising policy - just a lot more clarification as to what we consider advertising, and when and where we will allow it.

It is long (well, long compared to our previous rules) - but there are quite a few changes to how certain threads and folders should be used going forward, so please read the updated info.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask them, as always. :)

Hi all! As it's come up a couple times, please note that this month (January 2019) is a catch up month, so there will not be a group read book selected. This month, you can read whatever you like - a past group read book that you wanted to read but didn't get to, a book from your shelves, a buddy read, or get ahead of the game with the upcoming group read... It's entirely up to you! :)

OK well, to be fair, it's ALWAYS entirely up to you, as there's no mandate stating what you must read here... but you know, we're just not picking anything this month officially. :D

This is just a general announcement for Goodreads. Goodreads has changed policies, including messages. The settings have defaulted to only allowing friends to send messages. If you would like to receive messages from non-friends (like the moderators) you'll need to go into your account settings and edit it to say anyone can send you a message.

Hi all - Since the Goodreads broadcast function isn't as reliable anymore (because they just went ahead and changed everyone's message settings without permission or notice) I'm announcing the poll here as well:
