Official: coL sign anger

compLexity Gaming have announced via their website that they have signed Todd "anger" Williams from iBUYPOWER.

The North American player had been strongly tipped to join coL after Braxton "swag" Pierce saw himself involved in a surprising transfer to iBUYPOWER in the aftermath of EMS One Katowice.

At the Polish event, coL came in 5th-8th, while iBUYPOWER, who had been crowned ESEA champions, cut a frustrating figure as they finished in a disappointing 13th-16th place.

Williams expressed his delight at the move, confessing that it is "an honor" to wear coL's shirt, and confessed that he is excited about the future with his new team.

"As a professional Counter-Strike player it's an honor to represent the compLexity Gaming brand," he told coL's website.

"If you play Counter-Strike, you know who they are in the North American scene. I have personally competed against my new teammates since the release of Global Offensive and I feel we can achieve great things if we work hard enough.

"My departure from my previous team was unfortunate as I thought we just started having success. I look to continue what I've started in this game and I look forward to my future with compLexity."

coL currently sit eighth in ESEA Invite following a 14-16 defeat at the hands of Mediocre Gamers in their first match in the league, in which Ryan "fREAKAZAOiD" Abadir acted as a stand-in.

With Williams' addition, coL's roster is now:

if anger can play as good as he really is at an international tournament you'd realize anger is one of the best aimers not only in NA but the world inb4 stfu fanboy i used to compete against anger and played with him a few times and he's really an unreal talent, what ive seen from him on the international stage is not his usual playstyle i wish the american teams would play like american teams on LAN instead of changing their whole game to fit the EU style

On paper yeah but freak isnt really an active player. The guy plays for a little while and disappears for a month. Not really a pro material..

Rather have anger who is active and willing to practise than to have a guy who will only show up for official matches. There isnt really any others to pick from in NA atm.

swag wanted to play for iBUYPOWER, so it's fine that he left. But picking up anger to replace him... I'm not so sure about that. Anger is great, but I feel like they might have been able to find someone better. Maybe signing anger was just a ploy to take some wind out of iBUYPOWER's sails?

dazed teams were not getting raped in international tournaments, the ex-curse core were getting raped with anger,skadoodle,adren,azk, in which anger was mediocre on lan, DaZeD was considered MVP of the ESWC 2013 he played amazingly with Quantic and got decent results

you probably meant ESWC 2012 and dazed is the igl ergo he decides the playstyle of his team which is very source oriented, basically the opposite of col's aggressive playstyle and that is also probably the reason why they crash out in groups while col move on. But we should all stfu until their next international lan to judge them on their new line-ups, hopefully @ cph games

It wasn't a trade, except only in result. With adreN gone, the impression I've gotten is that Anger became more or less unwelcome on the team under Dazed's leadership. Dazed just doesn't prefer playing with that core group of former Dynamic players. Don't be surprised if AZK is the next to go, at some point. Dazed is a great player, but his downfall is how many top players in the NA scene he doesn't get along with. He's gonna pick somebody from his preferred clique of players to complete iBP's new roster, and none of those guys will be the sufficient talent infusion iBP needs to break through at international events. As for coL, their problem right now is that n0thing just isn't as committed as he used to be, but that's a whole different topic.
