Beautiful home! Somehow although it looked similar to the posted pictures, it seemed more attractive than the pictures. Maybe because it is quite spacious. View of the Sound was absolutely amazing! We were totally comfortable. Everything worked great. There is a grill on the deck not mentioned in the amenities. The nearness to the ferry terminal was so handy for some island sight-seeing and the marina just down the street had a whale watching tour that was great.

This home is much more than we expected. The house is beautiful and very comfortable. The views out the back of the house were superb. We spent a lot of our down either out on the spacious patio or sitting at the window benches watching all sorts of ships come and go out of Port Angeles. Grocery stores (Safeway, which there are three!) and take out food were only minutes away. Our main activities were hiking in Olympic National Park. The several trails in the eastern half of ONP were readily accessible from Port Angeles. The only thing of note is while the house accommodates 10 guests, it is assumed the guest list comprises 4 couples and 2 children as there are only 4 beds (I forget if they are kings or queens) and a set of bunk beds.

This vacation home was quite frankly the closest possible thing you could think of when hearing 'home away from home'. It was absolutely perfect for our trip to the Pacific Northwest. There was enough space for my husband and I and our two teen daughters (AND all their supplies too;-)) We are from the Midwest and this home hit all our expectations and then some. We were able to BBQ, play outside, and have tons of space both inside and out. The hot tub was great too. Safe neighborhood and pretty close to both 99 and I5. The owners are extremely hospitable and probably deserve an award if there is such a thing, for being just so nice and hospitable.

Everything was perfect and your backup team so helpful with any questions we had. The kitchen was amazing and so well stocked with every cooking utensil one would need. We had no issues with the wifi and the surrounding woods and trail to the river spectacular, including the bald eagles.

What a beautiful home! We definitely felt spoiled with the inviting decks, stellar view, built in ceiling speakers on both floors, heated bathroom floor, and pillow top bedding. The weather changed our plans a bit but the top notch amenities made it a wonderful weekend. Can’t wait to come back!

Comfortable house in a quiet location just a block away from the playground/pumptrack/tennis courts and the road to Hurricane Ridge. The description was accurate. It was nicely furnished and we appreciate the provided amenities. It was awesome to wake up to the views of snow-covered mountains (April) in the living room.

Discover the many pleasures of Washington State with a vacation rental

The only state in the US to be named after a president, Washington is often referred to as the State of Washington to avoid confusing it with the city of Washington, D.C. A vacation in this state offers diverse experiences for travelers of all ages as you can take your pick from places like Mount Rainier National Park, the Seattle Space Needle and Granite Mountain.

Aptly nicknamed the ‘The Evergreen State’, Washington is blessed with diverse flora and fauna with its abundant rainfall keeping the forest areas green all through the year. The state is home to people of various religions and ethnicities, giving every visitor a truly cosmopolitan experience. Choosing a vacation rental makes a vacation here even more memorable.

The Olympic National Park is often referred to as "Tolkienesque" for its mystical, lush landcapes comprising temperate rainforests, lakes, ridges, capes, beaches and coastal springs. Mount St. Helens National Volcanic Monument is worth a visit for those interested in the science of volcanoes: it preserves the geography of the volcano after the historic eruption in 1980, which impacted the surrounding area for hundreds of miles. The Johnston Ridge Observatory here provides fine views of the volcano and its horseshoe-shaped crater.

Destinations for day trips

The forested San Juan Islands are popular with locals who flock here during summer to watch the stately orca whales feeding in the sea. The islands are also good spots for bird-watching, camping, scuba diving, sailing and swimming. During winter, you can take the family down to the Mount Baker Ski Area, which offers splendid mountain views and winter sports galore.

East of the Cascade Mountains, Frenchman Coulee is a stunning remnant of the great Ice-Age floods — watch out for the cascading waterfalls and striking basalt columns. Anglers, take note of the salmon, trout, albacore tuna and bottomfish that await in the freshwater lakes. You can grill them at your Washington State rental home for dinner!
