As for the Yo-ho-Yo-ho samples, they don't fit at all, and while listening to them for first time is whimsical, upon my further listens it just sticks out like a sore thumb not only due to the tone of the voice, but also. because it's just not followed up in any way, it sort of just appears and then leaves never to be seen again. I definitely prefer the latter part of the piece to the former, as it is just a continuation of the first one with much more going on. I think the piece ends abruptly, and extra chant right at the end to somewhat resolve the chants in the middle would also make the song benefit, as it'd feel more coherent. As for the first minute, I think what could be done is to either add yet another instrument there, or volume up what's already there, as the bass is really loud when compared to the rest of the instruments. I also think both sections should have been extended to at least last in total 2 minutes, because of the compared transition length, It feels like the piece doesn't have any real chance to develop to it's biggest potential. I really like the second part, but I wish there was more of it, which I get could have been impossible due to time restraints, and I get that, however I'm just noting out what I feel could be improved if you were to come back to this track. Other than the volume of the instruments in part 1, I'd say the mixing is stellar and there wasn't a single second or beat that made me go "this is ugly". Definitely a polished mix, and I have nothing against ugly / ruff mixes when they're done well, I just don't know how to otherwise express "this is good I like it". which yeah, this is good I like it.
