I like the gritty and glitchy beats at the beginning. The breaks at :38 and some of the higher pitched effects are good for some variety, but overall I would’ve liked to hear a bit more harmonic depth and development in this track. The piece flows smoothly, and the sound design has a great, edgy flair. The distortion on the bass is a bit heavy for my tastes, and overall the drums sound like they’re struggling to pop through for most of the piece. Compositionally, I can’t help but feel you could’ve done more with this, and overall the production could’ve been a bit more polished. But rhythmically, you’ve got me hooked. Keep at it, Aalasteir! ^_^

I can definitely hear the melodic influences from the earlier piece now that you mention you've approximated the chord progression, as well as some nods to the tom fills in the original.

However without mentioning it, I would not have guessed these two tracks were based on the same idea.

It sounds as if you submerged an electric cello for a week, then tried to play it, while still under water. Very interesting.

As this is quite avant-garde for the typical DnB I hear on a daily basis, I don't have a whole lot of critique. I wish a few more melodic elements were included, just to hint at the source a bit more, but the more I listen, I can indeed hear those influences. They're just VERY distorted.

Outside of the competition, I'd like to hear more like this from you :)

I like this track and it's direction, but I don't recognize anything from the original track? I thought remixes were about interpreting one's track in your own way, but this just kinda sounds like you made your own track...
