The remaster no body asked for. This was originally written in 2009 but I decided to throw this fast edit up for Christmas time funzies. Enjoy some melodic winter trance. Only major difference is the snare, some panning, bass is louder, track is a few seconds longer. I spent all of one hour poking a dead horse here. Happy holidays!
Wanted to have something new up before the end of the year but the IDM is starting to feel a little stale. Next track will probably be a messy down tempo angst vibe. Am saving it for next year though, see you in 2021 :]
Mix down is super grainy. High frequency ranges are over powering things. I'm not sure how you go about signal flows but I like to make room in the mix by splitting my lead synth into two signals and panning them in opposite directions. Worth noting, panning creates the illusion that sounds are louder than they really are so the more you pan things, the more you can turn instruments down. Helps add space in the mix. Sub bass frequencies always get simplified down to mono signals and stay in the middle. Since the drums are the most important element in any EDM genre, they side chain the leads and the basses. Specifically the bass drum signal sidechains everything you feel like sending it to so you get a nice phat kick pumping through your mix. Depending on the mix, I'll add the snare to the sidechain signal, your call. At a certain point you just trust your ears. Fiddle with side chain options, I got no magic recipe for golden side chain ratios...
I want to focus on the drums. They have a lot of that over powering high frequency range I was talking about. I've been looping your track for like half an hour now and I'm deaf. Would probably find a way to boost the mid frequencies a little and drop the super high freq noises. I'm not sure if you're using drum layers or just one huge snare sample but it sounds like an amen break under effects? Hi hats might be a little too loud. I'd pan them to a side and drop the volume a little. You could always automate the drum envelopes to cut off quicker at certain points to add space... my tracks are always 50% automation lanes on the fidelity effects.

Lol, Newgrounds gets all the credit for writing this song. Thanks Newgrounds :D
Damn your music is so good~
Thank you so much Xinx!
Definitley sounds like the title
I've never heard a flower make noise before but I work with them for a living and I talk to them frequently. They never talk back, on account of being flowers. I imagine they love listening to me beat box because plants love water, and beat boxing produces a metric fuck ton of spit.
Pansies can actually survive and flower in south Tennessee during the winter. We even get snow sometimes. I imagine if the flowers could say anything they'd be crying all winter long, begging to be brought inside and left by a window for sunlight. Winter flowers probably sound a lot like sick dying cancer babies... but thanks for the compliment! I will cherish it my love <3
This is pretty chill. There were a few notes that sounded out of key. Still really cool. I dig it! [5/5] Merry xmas
