WHAT?! YOU DIDN'T DO YOUR HOMEWORK?!
Had this speedy little piece of crack lying around for about two years now, finally got around to finishing it. Wanted to capture the vibe of a fuming rant, only stopping once every five minutes for air.
Put a couple of old toy keyboards to use - pretty ugly pieces of kit, but in a charming way. Lead is a combination of an organ from the PSS-11 and some whistling with ring modulation.
Wanted to recording to be a bit unhinged, so I tried to just go to town with less focus on the timing being perfect. I think the little solo at 01:12 captures that mentality the best. Wrote the wah-wah part at the end by recording an improvised "beatbox" and mapping it out afterward. I think it's a great method for coming up with unusual yet intuitive rhythms.
