Circuit Diagram and Veroboard Design Problems: Copper Vero Board

The document provides instructions for students to analyze and design circuits using veroboard. It includes diagrams for 4 sample circuits - flashing LEDs, a siren, a night/day indicator, and a sound effects generator. Students are asked to list components, determine the number of copper strips needed, design the veroboard layout, suggest uses, and draw a diagram to box and finish the projects. The assignment is due on October 10th.

CIRCUIT DIAGRAM AND VEROBOARD DESIGN

PROBLEMS
Study the following circuit diagrams very carefully. They have been
scanned from an old Dick Smith text. Complete each of the following
activities;
1. Prepare a list of components required to build the circuit.
(include colour codes for any resistors)
2 You intend to build each circuit using Vero board (copper strip
board)

Copper Vero board

Work out the number of copper strips required (Hint, mark dots on the
circuit diagram where you have connecting points.
3 Using the blank Vero board diagrams design the layout you
would use.
4 Suggest ways in which the project could be used.
5 Draw a diagram to show how you would box and finish the
project.
