Install PVTsim Nova

Install the software by double clicking setup.exe on both the server and client PCs. On the server, copy the license file to the specified folder and start lmtools to configure the license manager service, specifying the paths to the license executables and file and debugging log. Save the service and check that PVTsim Nova runs correctly, otherwise start the license server.

Install the software both on the server and the client PC.

Double click setup.exe and follow the instructions on the screen.


On server PC
Double click setup.exe and follow the instructions on the screen.
Copy the license file to C:\<Program Files>\Calsep\License Manager\FLEXlm.
Start lmtools.exe, which after installation of PVTsim Nova is located in C:\<Program
Files>\Calsep\License Manager\FLEXlm. Click the Config Services tab. Enter a Service Name.
Specify C:\<Program Files>\Calsep\License Manager\FLEXlm\v11.12 as the path to lmgrd.exe.
Specify C:\<Program Files>\Calsep\License Manager\FLEXlm as the path to the license file.
Fill out the field Path to the debug log file with a file name. Check Use Services and check Start Server at
Power Up. Click on Save Service, after which configuration the Config Services menu should look as follows
Check whether PVTsim Nova runs. Otherwise click on the Start/Stop/Reread tab and click on Start Server.
