A Report on the Industrial Visit to “ Sindhu Cargo Pvt. Ltd., Bangalore”

on 15th Oct 2019

On receiving the confirmation for a ‘Industrial Visit’ on dated 15th Oct 2019from the public relation
officer Ms.Chaitra (Sindhu Cargo Pvt. Ltd., Bangalore.) a visit was planned and all the students of
PG Studies (MBA) were taken to the Sindhu Cargo Pvt. Ltd., Bangalore, factory to get the real
time exposure on Logistics & Shipping, lean principles and standards as per norms. The initiative was
taken to help the students understand the different aspects of Logistics & Shipping, warehouse and
inventory management and the challenges associated with it.

Asst. Prof. Mr. ANGEL CHAKRABORTY was In-charge for the visit. Also due thanks to Asst. Prof. Ms.
Asma who accompanied the students for the industrial visit on 15th Oct 2019with approx. 60 students.
All the students were asked to assemble at the college parking at 9:30 am on the same day as mentioned
above for the visit, after the attendance session we left the college at 10:00 am & reached our destination
around 12:00 pm. At the entrance, Ms. Chaitra (Associate) received us, she briefed us about logistics and
shipping business. He conducted a session on supply chain in the conference hall where we spent around
30 min. understanding and learning about various aspects related to the industry followed by a visit to the
plant. Students got to know about the operation flow of the plant. It was very kind of her, for conducting
the session and offered his valuable time to the students and answer all their queries related to
import/export customs and duties in India which surely benefited them and enhanced good knowledge.
The visit ended at around 2:30 pm.

We left the premises at 2:30 pm & were back to our college by 4:00 pm. It was an informative, interesting
and a successful visit. It gave the students very good idea about production & control. All the students of
MBA who participated for this visit, gained very good exposure related to logistics Industry. We would
like to express our thanks to our honorable Principal Dr. Mohammed Arif Pasha who permitted us to go
on the visit, and the faculty members who accompanied the students, and also Ms. Chaitra and the whole
team of Sindhu Cargo Pvt. Ltd. for their hospitality.
