Proposed Research Topic/Title The Word of Mouth Power in the Digital Era

According to Derbaix & Vanhamme as cited in Sweeney,

Soutar and Mazzarol (2007), Word of mouth (WOM) is
known as the communication exchange between consumers
Trends that affects their opinions and preferences. Furthermore,
WOM is also recognized as a strategic advantage against the
competitors (International Word of Marketing Conference,
2005 as cited in Sweeney, Soutar & Mazzarol).

On the other hand, with little trust, consumers often hesitate

to purchase from a website because they may feel uncertain
about dealing with e-vendors, especially those selling new
products and/or services (Hajli, Lin, Featherman & Wang,
2016). Levy and Gvili (2015) stated that by and by,
numerous online forums and reviews for buyers to enlist and
Issues
give some recognizable identification. Their online
commentary sections, be that as it may, frequently don't
require any personal identification from contributors and
buyers. Thus, sometimes, digital spectators may think that
it’s hard to have a judgment on the benevolence and
credibility of the sender and the message.

This proposed study aims to inquire into the lived

experiences of online buyers regarding the word of mouth
power in the digital era.
Objectives / Statement of the
Problem
