 This presentation is about Bill Gates, who is one of the most successful and richest

business leaders.

 Bill Gates is a co-founder of Microsoft Business, American computer programmer,

and entrepreneur.

 This presentation discusses his leadership style and characteristics and success stories.

 It also presents the information about why this leader appeal to me and lessons for

project managers.

 On Octobers 28, 1955, in Seattle, Washington, Gates was born William Henry Gates

III (Biography, 2020).

 The family environment at Gates has been warm and friendly, inspiring all three

children to succeed and to strive for excellence.

 It is worth US$90 billion from recent assessments of his income, equal to a majority

of African economies’ combined GDP.

 In 2014, Gates reported that he was stepping down as chairman to concentrate on

charitable work at the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.

Slide 3: Leadership style and characteristics

 The leadership style of Bill Gates is authoritarian, and often called autocratic.

 Gates would have been as effective as he was if he just ever incorporated an

authoritarian style.
 This leadership style is a highly effective style to be used in emergencies or for quick

decisions.

 Much of the success of Bill Gates can be linked to his quick decision making.

 Influence: Gates has had much influence because of his immense success and

net worth.

 Focus: Gates focuses on the one aspect he understands well, software, so he

keeps it as strong as possible.

 Big Picture: Gates also uses a realistic attitude toward achieving objectives.

 Creativity: Gates motivated himself and his team to take creativity instead of

sitting in a comfort zone.

 Bill Gates has had a career of successes and is one of the most inspirational

 Bill Gates was born on 28 October 1955 in Seattle, Washington. Through birth, Bill

Gates has a rich background.

 As early as 13, Gates had a passion for computers and software. Gates participated in

the private preparatory program, Lakeside Program, in the same year.

 Gates met Paul Allen at school and worked together to discover bugs in a computer

center corporation system.

 In 1975 the co-founded software company Bill Gates and Paul Allen, which they

called Micro-Soft.

 Microsoft and IBM signed the agreement in 1980, and Micro-Soft became a

Microsoft within one year.

 He has devoted much of his time to charity and community programs for several years

now.

 In 2007, Bill and Melinda Gates, who contributed over $2.9 billion to charity, became

the second most charitable philanthropists in America.

 In one thing, Bill Gates is a great entrepreneur and an intelligent person.

 He did not follow the world’s rules! He did not follow anybody! He did everything

that he liked!

 He is a great person, and through his charity and company, he supported people

around the globe.

 Bill Gates is a great role model as he never lacked the passion for supporting others in

need in his life.
