Deskripsi Mata Kuliah : Language Testing and Assessment is a compulsory course given to the fifth semester students of English Education Program in
State Institute of Islamic Studies Jember. This course aims to introduce the concepts and basic types of language testing, as
well as very basic statistical procedures; to provide guidance and practice in designing, trialling, and administering language
test; and to introduce non-test measurement. The content of the course is selected to cover all major topics in language testing.
However, those various topics are not explored in depth instead of being introduced to the students. It is expected that the
students are introduced well to the topics and able to demonstrate their understanding by developing or administering language
test in educational setting.
Capaian Pembelajaran : The students are able to compose a good English test and assessment for each language skill and component
