1. Purpose::
The user can transfer a large program into the NC expanded memory in the shortest
time, and then cut down the time of transmission. Use the high-speed transmission to
raise the machining purpose.

2. Scope::
FANUC 0i-MC/0iMC-PB/ 0i-MD/0iMD-PB /18i/21iMB CNC。
MITSUBISHI M60S series CNC。

5.1 Install FTP SERVER software

User can Download FTP SERVER software from the internet, and then follow the
procedure to install： http://www.aclogic.com/
： 95/98/Me/NT4/Windows 2000 , XP

5.1.1 Notice
，Please close PC-cillin 2002 .
5.1.1.1 IF Have setup Trend Micro PC-cillin program，
5.1.1.2 First Remove SERV-U or FTP Software , And Restart Computer .
5.1.1.3 IF Computer system is SERVER . Please close FTP of IIS.

5.6 FANUC i-series(0i,18i,21i) setup and operation

Setting condition for example：IP address 192.168.1.32 , in PC side
IP address 192.168.1.2 , in NC side
USER NAME：1111
PASSWORD：2303
LOGIN DIR the file path you want to link：/HARTFORD
Press SYSTEM function key, then press 【 ►】 for several times to find out
【ETHPRM】 key and press it, then press【OPRT】to enter next page, choose
【BOARD】key to enter “ETHERNET PARAMETER” parameter setting screen.
The screen is displayed as below：

5.6.1 Parameter setup

When use DATA SERVER for transmission, parameter 20 = 5

(1) Enter to PAGE: 1/8。As (Dig. 1), press ▲ ▼ key to move the cursor。
(2) Move the cursor to IP ADDRESS, set IP ADDRESS of NC,
input ”192.168.1.2” (suggested value) and press INPUT 。
(3) Move the cursor to SUBNET MASK, set IP mask and
input ”255.255.255.0”, then press INPUT 。
(4) Change the screen to PAGE: 3/8。As (Dig. 2)
(5) Move the cursor to 1. PORT NUMBER, set transfer port, input 21。
(6) Move the cursor to IP ADDRESS, set the IP ADDRESS of the
computer that you want to link, input (for example ”192.168.1.32” ),
and press INPUT 。
(7) Move the cursor to USER NAME, set the user name, it must be as
the same as the one on CesarFTP in PC。(for example: 1111), then
INPUT 。
(8) Move the cursor to PASSWORD, set the password (for example:
2303), and press INPUT 。The password will become “ ＊＊＊＊
“ after finish entering。
(9) Move the cursor LOGIN DIR, input the path you want to link。Key

《NOTE》
1. When use BNC connector, network cable must be ”10BASE2”。
2. When use RJ-45 connector, network cable must be ”10BASET”。
3. If use “10BASET” network cable, it must use HUB connector to link。
4. If use “10BASE2” network cable, it must use terminal connector in both
sides。

5.7 FANUC I series hardware connection

The relative location on hardware is shown as following picture. It must turn off the NC
power before replacing IC CARD for safety.

5.7.1 take off Option board from NC.

5.7.2 Loose the screws as <1>, <2>.

5.7.3 Open the fixed cover and insert the ATA Flash Card.

5.7.4 Put back the fixed cover, lock the screws as <6>, <7>.

5.8.2: Host Set:

This page mentions the setting of PC name and IP that you want to link.
HostSet has 2 pages, the maximal linking number is 4 PC(HOST–PC A ~

HOST-PC D), use key to change to next page, the parameter setting is
according to the IP address of your PC。

5.8.3 The operation of HOST

This page mentions some operation as linking, copy and delete etc.。
Please confirm the below condition before operation：

Set-up the network connection between PC and NC。

Execute CesarFTP software, and setup。

Put a program that you want to transmission in the path you assigned in
PC。For example: C:\TEMP。

Press → → → enter ”HOST ” setting screen,

the screen is shown as following:

#1 Set device name

Transfer 100.prg from DeviceA (HostA) to IC CARD, the operation is as

following：
(1) [Host] setting screen is as following:
#(1)A  DeviceA set to HostA
#(4)2  DeviceB set to IC Card

(2) Press , if linking succeed，[File List] the screen will appear

”File Transmitting (*** )” in the middle, and start reading the data in HOST A.
The screen will display file list when succeed。
(3)Use , and direction key to select which file you want to transfer,
for example:100.prg. Press INPUT key, then press key, go back to [HOST]
screen。
(4) Key in # (7) ( ), press INPUT to transfer a program to IC。The screen
will appear ”AUX. WRITTING EXEC.” During transmission。It need to spend
about 3~4 minutes transmitting a 12 MB program。

5.9 MITSUBISHI execute machining by a program in IC Card

IC CARD#4 use PROGRAM SEARCH call the program (SEARCH COMPLETE),

mode change to “TAPE MODE ” then press ”CYCLE START ” to
execute machining。

《Note》

1. Execute SEARCH in IC CARD; the beginning of the contents in the

program must be the same as the file name or an alarm will appear:
E14 PROG NOT.FOND

EX: 306.PRG program file name: Arabic numerals. PRG
