Remote Firing Device(RFD)

Characteristics
▪ The Remote Firing Device (RFD) is an extremely safe VHF radio controlled device
designed for the remote initiation of explosives in a general electromagnetic
interference environment.
▪ The operating range is about 4km in LOS(line of Site), whilst in the screened area
such as forest or in building, range of up to 1km is possible.
▪ MIL-STD-810F(water-proof, low/high-temperature, vibration, shock)
▪ R&D finished at 2012, start mass production from 2014

❖ Expected to increase when the minefield stabilization project is in progress.

RFID(Personal Rescue Device)

▪ When the SOS button of the transmitter is pressed or water is detected, the location information and ID
information are automatically transmitted periodically.
▪ Satellite Transmitter: Can receive distress signals anywhere in the world and transmit them to mobile phones
▪ Transmitter for 900MHz: Can be received by ships, helicopters, and land engines within a radius of 15Km.
▪ Delivery of about 13,000 units to the Marine Police, Navy, and Marine Corps, compulsory equipment for new ships
▪ It is expected to be distributed through local governments such as passenger ships and fishing boats, and exports
are in progress.
