Topic:Future Indefinite Tense (Active Voice)&Active Voice / Passive Voice

Objective (s):Students will be able to:


 revise the rules of Future Indefinite Tense.
 translate the sentences in correct English
 apply rules for changing sentences into Passive Voice & vice versa.

 English Grammar & Composition 9-10 (PTB) Pgs117-120


 FBISE Prescribed Grammar Book

Methodology:
 Revision/ Explanation/Discussion of rules with solved examples& unsolved exercise
 Written Work Exercises on pgs 117,118 to be done orally, followed by any ten
sentences for written work from the given exercises.
 Quickly refresh the concept by writing a few sentences in Active & Passive Voice on
the board. Ask students to read them & identify rules of conversion.
 Error - spotting activity on whiteboard will help students identify errors in sentences
& explain why the sentences are wrong. For example: 1. He is taught the lesson 2.
Dinner is eaten by they etc. Written Work
 Practice conversion of 10 sentences into Passive voice. Give mixed tense H.W:
Practice conversion of 10 sentences into Active voice. Give mixedtenses

H/W:Revise the topics at home.

Methodology:
 Revise some of the basic spelling rules with a lot of examples &board practice.
 Students to read new & difficult words from the given glossary by breaking them into
syllables. Written Work:
 Teacher to dictate the words from English 9 glossary or from the past papers for
practice.
 Provision of Worksheet in the form of MCQs
 Watch the video tutorials on sabaq foundation to learn how affirmative, negative &
interrogative of this tense is formed.
 Study the given examples from the Grammar Book to revise uses & formation of this
tense. • Written practice:
 Ex on pgs 83-84, 86-87 Translate any ten sentences from each exercise.

H/W: Do pg 83 of the grammar book on notebooks.

examples of personification.
 Quickly refresh the concept by writing the central idea of the poem.
 . Ask students to read the central idea and then explain it in their own words.
 Error - spotting activity on whiteboard will help students identify errors in simile and
metaphor & explain why the sentences are wrong. For example: 1. He was as busy
bee. 2. My son is similar to the tiger.
 Practice paraphrasing of the poem.
