Electronic Geometric Pig (EGP). EGP tools are used to measure
internal pipeline diameter and to detect pipeline geometry
imperfections ( dents, gauges, ovalities etc.) Geoemtry deviations of
pipe bore caused in most cases by mechanical impact , are physical
defects that have serious impact on the safe operation of pipelines.
These defects can effect flow rates and be a source of emergence of
other stress related flows. IRL offers a range of 4”-60” EGP
inspection tools as effective solutions for detection and sizing of
geometry defects of pipelines.
High resolution MFL & TFI

The excellent inspection method identifies a myriad of pipeline


features and defects all of which are well documented and subscribed
within the pipeline operators forum (POF) documents, High resolution
magnetic flux leakage (MFL) tools are used to record and measure
signals caused by pipe wall imperfections. They detect ,locate and
assess sizes of general corrosion defects, pitting corrosion, transverse
cracks, girth weld defects , pipeline design elements etc. This is the
most common and widely used pipeline inspection method. IRL MFL
tools size 6”- 60” meet or exceed industry standards.
