IDEAS!
-Two or more linear equations considered together form a system of linear equations or
simultaneous equations.
-A solution to a system of linear equations in two variables consists of an ordered pair that
satisfies both equations.
It is denoted by:
a1x + b1y = c1
a2x + b2y = c2
Constants: a1x, b1y, c1, a2x, b2y, c2
Variables: x,y
EXAMPLES OF SYSTEM OF LINEAR EQUATIONS

y = 2x – 3
