Research of Vehicle Tracking (VTracking App)
Research of Vehicle Tracking (VTracking App)
Abstract :-
In this project, GPS will be used to track a car along with GSM. By making a few
software and hardware adjustments, this vehicle tracking system can also be utilised for
other purposes, such as traffic density and accident detection alert systems. The method
of tracking a vehicle involves keeping track of its whereabouts using latitude and
longitude (GPS coordinates). The value of a location is its GPS coordinates. This
method works quite well for outdoor applications. This type of vehicle monitoring
system project is frequently used to track taxis, stolen cars, school buses, and other
vehicles. In essence, this system is embedded. Hardware that is managed by software is
referred to as embedded. Nearly everyone in society now owns a car, and theft occurs
sometimes while driving and sometimes while parking. Vehicle safety is incredibly
important for public transportation vehicles. The car has a locking and tracking
mechanism to keep track of its location. Using the Global Positioning System (GPS) and
Global System for Mobile Communication, the location of the car was determined
(GSM). These devices continuously monitor a moving vehicle and provide status reports
as needed.
I. INTRODUCTION
VTracking is an application that helps us Monitor the location of our vehicles. It will
provide notification when the vehicle is over speeding. It will tell you when the
vehicle is idle and when the vehicle is moving. Also an added feature of the vehicle is
that it will inform you when the vehicle is in parking and what is the overall average
speed of the vehicle. Many high-end automobiles, such as Tesla, include tracking
services. However, using such vehicles is neither profitable nor even remotely feasible
for travel agencies. However, with VTracking, it is also possible to track the average
distance travelled per litre of fuel. Vehicles are also breaking down due to overheating.
This will alert you to various stops as well as live tracking of the vehicle. It will also
warn you if you are driving too fast. You can also see where the vehicle has stopped and
for how long. Complete Vehicle Management is possible remotely using this app . Its
economic viability and technological convenience provides leading edge in the market.
It uses centralised system for better management of all fleet available for owner.
II. LITERATURE SURVEY
The author of the study offers a method that makes use of gadgets like the Raspberry Pi
and GPS Antenna to track and keep an eye on public transit vehicles. The processing
board for the Raspberry Pi can be used to receive values and output the results. This
technique can discover a means of tracking the moving object from its location source to
its destination. In this study, a GPS receiver module is used to continuously receive the
latitude and longitude values of the vehicle's current location. Between the source and
destination locations, a car passenger will provide the system with several locations. In
this study, an Arduino-based real-time GPS tracker system was implemented and
designed. This technique could be used for car safety, private driver tracking, and
salesman tracking. The paper's author also made an effort to develop a solution for the
issue faced by owners of pricey automobiles who want to watch and track their vehicle's
movements and previous actions. The system uses GPS/GSM modules that are mounted
inside the car and are managed by an Arduino MEGA board. The author of this paper
describes an embedded system that uses GSM and GPS technology to determine the
location of the car. A GPS and GSM module with a microcontroller must be closely
connected for the system. The device's GPS will initially acquire the vehicle's location
from a satellite and store it in a microcontroller's buffer. The registered mobile number
can be used to track whereabouts. The registered mobile number must send a request to
monitor location; once the number's authentication is complete, the location will be
delivered to the mobile number in the form of an SMS.
H. Settings
Settings provide which on which activities of the vehicle the user should get
notifications and on which there is no need for notification.
I. About us
About us page shows developer history, what is unique about Vtracking,
company's values, and name of respective client who is the owner of app.
J. Logout
Logout page if the user wishes to logout of their respective account.
Fig 1.1 consists of login page. If the user id and password are input correctly, the user
can log in successfully. Once a legitimate user has logged in, they are able to use the
system's features.
Fig1.2 consists of a menu bar with various application functions. The user can
navigate it by clicking the button in the upper left corner and selecting the desired
functionalities.
Fig 1.3 represents the report and numerous features of the vehicle. For instance, one
of the functions that the user may select to get an overall report is avg speed, which
will provide us a report on the average speed throughout the route. Other than avg
speed user can choose different functions as shown in the fig 1.3
Figure 1.4 depicts the settings tab, where the user can enable and disable various
functions and customize the application interface.
VI. CONCLUSION
we Introduce this vehicle tracking with some new feature and providing a better
experience to end user Vehicle tracking systems improve fleet management, resulting
in increased profits. Better scheduling or route planning can help you handle larger
job loads in less time. Vehicle tracking, whether for personal or business purposes,
improves safety and security, communication medium, performance monitoring, and
productivity. So, in the coming year, it will play a significant role in our daily lives.
The main goal of the project is to incorporate various types of sensors to help reduce
the chances of losing a life in an accident that we cannot prevent from happening.
When an accident is reported, paramedics are dispatched to the scene to improve the
chances of survival.
