SEMI DETAILED LESSON PLAN IN DANCE

I. Objectives
At the end of the lesson, students will be able to:
A. Explain dance, elements of dance, and its benefits.
B. Identifies those factors that cause dance injury.
C. Appreciate the importance of dance.

- Google Meet
- Kahoot!

IV. Procedure
A. Preparatory
- Prayer
- Greeting
- Checking of Attendance
B. Motivation
- Share your screen in Google Meet and let them answer the jumbled
words that you created. Ask them what will be the topic for today?

C. Lesson Proper

● The teacher will ask students to define DANCE using their


own words.
● The teacher will continue the lecture discussion using the
PowerPoint presentation to explain the meaning of dance,
elements of dance , benefits of dance, and factors that cause
dance injuries.

D. Activity
- The teacher will give the link/code to students for them to access Kahoot!
They will answer 10 questions related to the topic that wasdiscussed by
the teacher.
E. Generalization:
1. In order for learners to demonstrate their understanding of the lesson, the
teacher will have them explain the dance elements in their own words.
2. The teacher will encourage the class that if they perform better,they would
get a plus 10 in their quiz next discussion.

V. Assignment
Research about the history of Philippine Folk Dance and Give 5
example of Philippine Folk Dance.

I. Objectives
At the end of the lesson, students will be able to:
A. Identify the Origin of Philippine Folk Dances
B. Learn the History of Dancing in the Philippines
C. Deliver a dance performance of Philippine Folk Dances

- Handouts
- Pentel Pen
- Pictures of Folk Dances/Costumes in The Philippines
- Sounds of Each Folk Dances

IV. Procedure
A. Motivation
- Prayer
- Greetings
- Checking of Attendance
B. Motivation
Divide the class into 5 groups of 6-8 students each. Ask the students to
name the Philippine folk dance that is seen in the picture. You can also
ask them to name the region where the dance originated. The group with
the most right answers wins the game.

C. Lesson Proper
1. Ask the student to arrange the images of the various Philippine folk
dances according to the following regions: Luzon, Visayas, and
Mindanao.
2. The teacher will show some pictures of Different Folk Dance, after
each picture prepare some questions on what they saw (such as
outfit, props).
3. Ask the students to recall and explain the many folk dances they
have observed in the Philippines.
4. Give a talk about the many traditional dances of the Philippines and
explain the background or origins of each one.
D. Activity
- Divide the class into 5 groups consisting of 6-8 members. Inform
them that they will be a part of the group for the class's final activity.
The group will deliver one traditional dance from the Philippines.
Assign each group a specific folk dance. Sounds of each folk dance
will be provided by the teacher
E. Evaluation
Based on the following criteria, a performance of various Philippine folk
dances is evaluated.
- Appropriate Movements
- Costume
- Creativity
V. Assignment
- Students will share their insights, revelations, and understandings in their paper.
They will pass it in the next discussion.
