1. The document provides instructions for calculating the center of mass for several objects, including: two particles with masses 0.4 kg and 0.6 kg located at 0.3 m and 0.9 m; three particles with masses 0.05 kg, 0.03 kg, and 0.03 kg located at (0,3,0), (-4,-3,0), and (4,-3,0); and two attached boxes with dimensions and masses specified. 2. It also provides a challenge to calculate the center of mass for a system of two boxes attached to each other with given dimensions and masses. 3. A final challenge is to calculate the center of mass for a circle with a smaller

Q.3. Challenge
There are two boxes attaching to each other. The scale of
smaller one is 𝑙 × 𝑤 × ℎ = 0.2 × 0.4 × 0.3 [m] and the mass
is 0.6 [kg]. The scale of larger one is is 𝑙 × 𝑤 × ℎ = 0.2 ×
0.7 × 0.3 [m] and the mass is 1.2 [kg], obtain the center of
mass of this set.
𝑤 = 0.4

ℎ = 0.3

ℎ = 0.3

𝑤 = 0.7
Q.4. Challenge
There is a circle with its radius 𝑟 [m]. When a part, a small
circle of radius 𝑟/2 [𝑚], of the circle is taken off as shown in
the picture, obtain the center of mass of that shape.
