Assignment 11

Strategic decisions determine an organization's direction, tactical decisions affect how things are done, and operational decisions are made daily to run the organization. Management information systems (MIS) directly assist mid-level managers by providing routine reports from transaction processing systems. Business intelligence and analytics support decision making by using vast data stores and powerful tools like machine learning to make better decisions. Different levels of management use business intelligence differently - operational managers use transaction systems, tactical managers use MIS, and strategic managers use decision support systems, which take input from MIS and external sources. Group decision support systems allow groups to share problems and ideas over computer networks to make more effective group decisions.
