Background of the Delhi Hackathon
The Delhi hackathon is an event where teams, consisting of K9 to K12 school students from
Delhi and NCR, come together to collaborate on building technological solutions to enhance
existing societal and environmental management practices, The participating teams are
indented to solve specific software-related challenges within a set time frame. The problem
statements can lead to building mobile Apps, creating web applications and extracting valuable
insights through data science.
Honor Code
The hackathon will give every participant an equal opportunity to compete. Participants should
be truthful in all aspects of the competition. This includes providing accurate information, not
plagiarizing or cheating, and reporting any violations they become aware of.
Hackathons, akin to marathons, serve diverse purposes. Some people go to compete, but most
people take part to better themselves and have fun. Whatever the reason is you're at a
hackathon, make sure you're upholding the friendly spirit by collaborating with other teams,
helping beginners, and having fun.
The competition is just a part of the hackathon. To make the most out of the event, try
something new, teach other people, and make new friends!

Programming Languages
There are some programming languages that are commonly used and versatile, making them
good choices for the Delhi hackathon. Using a language, you're comfortable with and can work
efficiently in, is more important than the specific language itself. Here are the programming
languages that will be used in hackathon
1.Python: Python is a versatile and widely used language with an extensive ecosystem of
libraries and frameworks. It's known for its readability and ease of use, making it a popular
choice for data science, web development, and more.
2.JavaScript: JavaScript is essential for web development. It's used for creating dynamic web
applications and can be paired with HTML and CSS for front-end development. Node.js allows
you to use JavaScript on the server-side as well.
3.C/C++: These languages are known for their speed and efficiency. They are often used in
hackathons focused on system programming, game development, or low-level development.

Types of Problems
The initial screening round entails competitive programming, a challenging way to show your
problem-solving skills, coding proficiency, and algorithmic knowledge. The participants must
have a good grip on the programming language of their choice. They should have ample
knowledge on the syntax and data structures available.
The second round will involve problem statements the domains of which will be disclosed to
the participants who have been select from the screening round. The participants will be
required to come up with a combination of web site or an app, a presentation and a video
submission.
The hackathon may have its own submission platform or portal where you'll need to submit
your project. This typically involves uploading your project files, documentation, demo video,
and any other materials required by the hackathon organizers.
It's essential to carefully read the rules and guidelines provided by the hackathon organizers to
ensure that you meet all submission requirements and deadlines. Additionally, stay engaged
with any communication from the organizers to stay informed about the progress of the event
and the submission process. Good luck with your hackathon submission!
Once the submission deadline has passed, the judging process begins. Judges will evaluate the
projects based on specific criteria, and winners will be announced at the hackathon's closing
ceremony or through official communication channels.

Participants can seek assistance from the internet for using design tools but must ensure
originality in their ideas.
2.All submitted designs must be original, and plagiarism in any form will not be tolerated.
Plagiarism includes using unoriginal content in both semantics and syntax or presenting
graphics claimed as original but easily reverse-searchable on the web. Plagiarised submissions
will result in immediate disqualification.
