TECHNOLOGY USED

TOOLS:

Visual Studio: To run C#.NET Programs.

VMWare Horizontal: To implement VDI Connection

ASP.NET

ASP.NET is a web development platform, which provides a programming model, a

comprehensive software infrastructure and various services required to build robust
web applications for PC, as well as mobile devices.ASP.NET works on top of the
HTTP protocol, and uses the HTTP commands and policies to set a
browser-to-server bilateral communication and cooperation.

ASP.NET web forms extend the event-driven model of interaction to the web
applications. The browser submits a web form to the web server and the server
returns a full markup page or HTML page in response.

C#.NET

C# is a simple, modern, object oriented, and type –safe programming language

derived from C and C++. It will immediately be familiar to C and C++
programmers. C# aims to combine the high productivity of visual basic and theraw
power of C++.Visual C#.NET is Microsoft’s C# development tool. Visual C#.NET
is part of a suite of products, called Visual Studio .NET, that also includes Visual
Basics .NET, Visual C++.NET and the Jscript scripting language.

DATABASE

Microsoft SQL server is a Structured Query Language (SQL) base,client/server

relational database. Each of these terms describes a fundamental part of the
architecture of SQL server. A database is similar to a data file in that it is a storage
place for data. Like a data file, a database does not present information directly to a
user, the user runs an application that accesses data from the database and presents
it to the users in an untreatable format. A database typically has two components:
the files holding the physical database access data.

MVC ARCHITECTURE

The Model-View-Controller (MVC) is an architectural pattern that separates an

application into three main logical components: the model, the view, and the
controller. Each of these components are built to handle specific development
aspects of an application. MVC is one of the most frequently used
industry-standard web development frameworks to create scalable and extensible
projects.

20
Internship Report

Model

The Model component corresponds to all the data-related logic that the user works
with. This can represent either the data that is being transferred between the View
and Controller components or any other business logic-related data. For example, a
Customer object will retrieve the customer information from the database,
manipulate it and update its data back to the database or use it to render data.

View

The View component is used for all the UI logic of the application. For example,
the Customer view will include all the UI components such as text boxes,
dropdowns, etc. that the final user interacts with.

Controller

Controllers act as an interface between Model and View components to process all
the business logic and incoming requests, manipulate data using the Model
component and interact with the Views to render the final output. For example, the
Customer controller will handle all the interactions and inputs from the Customer
View and update the database using the Customer Model. The same controller will
be used to view the Customer data.

Internship Report

CONCLUSION

On the whole, this internship was a useful experience. I have gained new
knowledge, skills and met many new people. I achieved several of my learning
goals, however for some the conditions did not permit. I got insight into
professional practice. I learned the different facets of working within a company.

I experienced that financing, as in many organizations, is an important factor for

the progress of projects. Related to my study I learned more about the C#.Net
Technology and ASP.NET MVC Architecture. There is still a lot to discover and to
improve.

The internship was also good to find out what my strengths and weaknesses are.
This helped me to define what skills and knowledge I have to improve in the
coming time. It would be better that the knowledge level of the language is
sufficient to contribute fully to projects.

At last this internship has given me new insights and motivation to pursue a career
in Software Development.
