06. ORIGIN OF FIRE: In the front yard of the house, with the use of gasoline
and possibly lighter.

07. CAUSE OF FIRE: Gasoline was poured intentionally inside and outside
of the owner’s house, then ignited at the tail of the trail to slowly burn the
establishment.

FACTS OF THE CASE:

- A burnt small area of front yard due to arson attempt.


- The front yard was ashy and char but no establishment or any injury occurred.
- All matters concerning to the SUBSTANTIATING DOCUMENTS as attached in
the FIR.
- “He used a bottle to store the gasoline and pour it inside and outside the house
before setting it Up. He did it within a span of a minute or two and then fled the
scene after setting the front yard On fire. Luckily we saw it and he did not see us
so before it reaches the house we splashed water All over it and woke up Mr.
Bantillo.” According to the witnesses.
Interpretation of the documents submitted.
- No other establishment were affected.
- The suspect is at large and is currently on cover

DISCUSSION:

- The investigators suggests to put up protection as they think that the suspect has
the intent to kill Mr. Bantillo in his sleep, they think Mr. Bantillo is in danger and
who knows what type of method will the suspect do next.
- The photographs were great as it narrows down all possibilities within the case.
FINDINGS:

- According to the investigators ; the incident is 100% intentional, it was done for
the purpose of killing Mr. Bantillo in his sleep. The suspect used accelerant to
haste the operation but was unsuccessful because two (2) witnesses saw the
entire process and decided to put out the fire before it spreads to the house.

RECOMMENDATION:

- Thorough investigation and examination should be done as well as extra


protection to Mr. Bantillo as his life is in danger because the suspect being at
large and on run is a threat to Mr. Bantillo’s civic being.
