1.0 INTRODUCTION
This document is intended to provide a scope of work for the Front End Engineering
Design (FEED) Pipe Replacement Project for the period 2023 which is in the Rokan
Working Area (WK) to be used as information for the development of engineering
results in the FEED phase.
Shipping line 6-in Menggala South and 8-in Menggala North to Bangko Dumai Trunk
Line has been transporting oil from the Menggala Area to Dumai via the tie-in Bangko
Dumai Trunk Line since 1987 (over design life) with an estimated daily production of
~2,000 BOPD. The total length of these two pipeline segments is approximate ~30
km and connected to each other with a detailed stretch of ~2500 m from Menggala
South to the tie-in 8-in Menggala North GS to the tie-in Bangko Dumai Trunk Line of
~27750 m. The majority of the Menggala Cluster Shipping Line pipeline stretch is
also located on public traffic roads and areas of dense community activity (HCA 3).
To accommodate the nature of the oil in the Menggala Area and also to avoid
congeal, the Menggala shipping line for both 8-in and 6-in uses a Skin Effect Current
Trace Heating / SECT heating system. To maintain heat and also to meet the safety
aspect, the surface of the Shipping Line pipe is wrapped with insulation. Over time,
insulation and oil pipelines have deteriorated in integrity due to corrosion, aging, and
environmental conditions. Thus, it is necessary to replace the 8-in and 6-in pipes
along with accessories, insulation, and SECT heating with the replacement in the
kind method. Within the overall scope of this pipe replacement project, the Menggala
segment is a priority segment for its implementation.
FEED development for Menggala area pipe replacement refers to the results of the
Conceptual Study. Scope of work includes but is not limited to Field Visit, Basic
Design, Cost Estimation, Engineering Design (Process, Mech Piping, Electrical,
Instrument, Civil Structure) Specification, Philosophy, Data Sheet, Calculation,
Drawing, and Material Take off (MTO).
2.0 OBJECTIVES
The objective of this document is to describe and list up all the electrical loads and to
estimate total electrical power consumption & equipment size to be used in FEED RK
Proyek Pengganti Pipa Menggala Cluster ABI-NBD.

5.2 Definition
Consumed load The ratio of the absorbed load to efficiency at load factor,
consumed load may be categories as continuous,
intermittent, and standby
Continuous Load Loads that are required to run without interuption
whenever the plant is running
Intermittent Load Loads are switched on and off automatically in response
process requirements such as pumpson level control or
heater on thermostatic control fall into this categories
Standby Load All Loads required during maintenace, change over from
duty to standby or during abnormal circumstance e.g for
2 x 100 % pump installed, pump A will run continuously
while pump B will be on standby
Absorbed Load Loads that are absorbed by the driven equipment or the
maximum power taken during a given priod of time
