Standard Deviation Standard Error

Group N Mean Median (SD) (SE)
Male 140 3.97 4 0.777 0.0657
Female 203 4 4 0.824 0.0578

There is a statistically significant difference between the mean scores of males and females on variable
Q18. With a t-statistic of -0.379 and 341 degrees of freedom, the associated p-value was found to be
0.705. As the p-value exceeds the common significance level of 0.05, the null hypothesis (Hₒ) cannot be
rejected, indicating no statistically significant difference between the mean scores of males and females
on variable Q18 at the 0.05 significance level. Therefore, based on the results, there is insufficient
evidence to support the claim that there is a significant difference in the mean scores of males and
females on variable Q18.
