Introduction of the project

The library management deals in management of records.
The records include books which are required by different
students accordingly. Maintaining these records manually
becomes difficult thus we are proving such system a
computerized backend.
In this system each member is provided with a member
code and all the records are maintained in a table along
with the member’s code. Any information can be accessed
according to member-code anytime from the table and also
at the time of issuing books.
This system helps to minimize the errors made by a
human. It also provides an error message while entering
invalid data. Moreover this system is designed for the
particular need of the company to carry out operations in a
smooth and effective manner.
Objective of the system
The main objective of this system is to manage the details
of the Student, Books, Librarian, Issues and Member. The
system is totally build at the administrative end and only
the administrator has the permission to access the system.

It tracks all the details of Students, Issues, Librarian and
Member.
Some more objectives of the system are:-
To reduce paperwork.
Reduced operational time.
Increased accuracy and reliability.
Increased operational efficiency.
Data security.
Maintains data about the books of the library.
Collection of data about books which are issued and
requirement for purchasing.
Data about books which are lost.
Easy to understand by the user and operator.
Has a good interface.
Description of the system
Library Management System is a replacement for the
ordinary library management systems which depend on
paper work for recording book and users information.
Library Management System will provide an advanced
book search mechanism and will make it easy to borrow,
insert and index a book in the library.

The proposed Library Management System is designed to
simplify the day-to-day activities of a library, providing
features for both users and administrators.
The system implements a secure login mechanism for
users, and administrators. The admin has the authority to
manage user access and ensure data entegrity.
Scope of the system
This application can be used by any Library to automate
the process of manually maintaining the records related to
the subject of purchasing of books, selecting and ordering
items for the collection.
This project has a large scope as it has the following
features which help in making it easy to use, understand
and modify it:-
Automation of Placement Procedure.
No Need to do Paper Work and save the Environment.
To increase the accuracy and efficiency of the
placement procedure.
Management of Student Data.
