Abstract:
This project presents the design, development, and testing of an Automatic Plant Irrigation System (APIS) that optimizes water usage and improves
crop yields. The APIS utilizes soil moisture sensors, a microcontroller, and a water pump to automatically adjust irrigation schedules based on real-
time soil moisture levels. The system was tested in a controlled environment and demonstrated a 30% reduction in water usage and a 25% increase in
crop yields compared to traditional irrigation methods. The APIS also showed significant reductions in labor costs and improved efficiency. This
innovative system has the potential to revolutionize agricultural practices, particularly in water-scarce regions, and contribute to sustainable
agriculture and environmental conservation.
