WELCOME TO THE DART EXPERT CONTENT PAGE

What is DART?

The DART was designed to aid SAP users in meeting legal data retention requirements for tax audit purposes. DART allows you to periodically extract and retain tax-

General Documentations - DART

The Data Retention Tool (DART) allows you to periodically extract and retain data from active R/3 applications.
With limited data coverageit is also possible to extract data that has been archived previously with the R/3 Archive Development Kit (ADK).

DART provides tools for creating user speci c views on extracted data.
This data can be exported into various le formats like CSV, SAPAUDIT, FEC... with helps of special dart-views.

The user can look at the data by choosing from prede ned views or can choose to design a customized view.

DART's default settings allow you to select data for extraction from many R/3 components.
DART uses Financial Accounting (FI) documents as its starting point, allowing you to extract data from the following related documents:

Controlling (CO) documents that are affected by the extracted FI documents (includes also data from Project System (PS))

Source documents from the Material Management (MM), and Sales and Distribution (SD) components

Refer to the note 1328530 - Technical Documentation - How Dart works

How to test FEC le

If the view le is created, it can be downloaded in transaction FTWN by clicking on icon "Export to local File" in order to get the correct format. The lename should follow
this logic: SirenFECAAAAMMJJ. First an identi cation number, then "FEC", then the date.
For example: 123456FEC20170502.

The validation program is available on the webpage of DGFIP.

You should download and install the software from this website. You can choose from versions 32/64 bit as per your system requirements.

After installation, run the program. The screen is the same as the one used by the authorities. You should ll the eld "Entrer le numéro alpage du dossier" with your
number as the above le naming example ("123456"). This is mandatory.
The second eld is optional, you can write the name of your company into this.

Also choose the type of your chart of account on the left column (Type de plan comptable) and the type of the revenue category on the right column (Type de revenus).
Then you can upload the le to be tested by clicking on the icon "Selectionner un chier á traiter".

Select the relevant local le. After that your can start the test by clicking on the "Valider" button.

At the end of the test, a summary document is generated in PDF format. It is automatically displayed and saved. The rst page of the summary contains general
information about this validation process.

The second page shows the mandatory elds required by the law and the elds of the actual FEC le next to it.

Additional notes and comments about the le are displayed on the third page. Generally these notes have two types: in some cases these are problems what should be
solved in order to get correct le from technical aspect. For example, if there are missing data, it is displayed under the heading „Données absentes”. There are also
informational comments, in these cases the le is technically correct. These are displayed under the heading „Observations complémentaires”.

Examples for informational comments:

"Les champs supplémentaires suivants gurent dans le chier :..."

This is only a noti cation, that the FEC le contains 22 colums, and this means additional 4 columns. The program analyses 18 columns, this is described in the second
page of the pdf. So, this is not a problem, this is only a noti cation.
Our solution with 22 columns is approved by authorities.

" Structure chier incorrecte, débit/crédit ... renseignés sur une même ligne ... , ou débit=crédit=0 [N] fois dans le chier"

This message shows that the program found N lines in which the amount is 0 (zero). This can be correct from technical aspect. For example, there are documents that
contain amount only in second local currency. It is recommended to check these documents.

"Le champ PIECEDATE contient une date en dehors de la période, ... ; ... [N] fois dans le chier".

This means that the program found lines, in which the document date is out of the period to be analysed. This can be also correct from technical aspect. It is
recommended to check these line items, for example a mistake in posting can lead to this message.
