Data Analyst - Roles and Responsibilites
Job Description:
We are seeking a meticulous and proactive Executive - Data Analyst to join
the Quality Assurance and Rankings Office. The ideal candidate will play a critical
role in supporting the university’s quality assurance processes and improving
institutional rankings through effective data management, analysis, and strategic
planning.
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
1. Data Analysis and Reporting:
o Perform comprehensive data analysis to support decision-making
for quality assurance and rankings.
o Create and maintain dynamic dashboards to track institutional
metrics and performance trends.
o Generate detailed reports and insights on key indicators for NAAC,
NBA, NIRF, and other ranking frameworks.
2. Benchmarking and Gap Analysis:
o Conduct benchmarking studies against peer institutions to identify
performance gaps and opportunities for improvement.
o Analyse institutional data to pinpoint strengths and areas requiring
enhancement in alignment with accreditation and ranking criteria.
3. Documentation and Compliance:
o Prepare, organize, and maintain documentation to ensure
compliance with NAAC, NBA, NIRF, and other regulatory
requirements.
o Ensure data integrity and accuracy in all submissions and maintain
comprehensive records for audits.
4. Strategy Development and Implementation:
o Develop actionable strategies to address identified gaps and
improve institutional rankings.
o Collaborate with departments to implement data-driven initiatives
for quality improvement.
5. Advanced Data Tools and Statistical Analysis:
o Utilize statistical methods to analyse institutional data and derive
actionable insights.
o Leverage tools like Excel, Power BI, Tableau, and other analytics
platforms to create visualizations and performance dashboards.
6. Artificial Intelligence and Automation (Preferred):
o Explore and apply AI-driven tools for predictive analysis, ranking
score optimization, and data automation.
o Identify innovative solutions to streamline processes and enhance
data processing efficiency.
7. Stakeholder Engagement and Communication:
o Work closely with internal stakeholders, including faculty,
departmental heads, and senior management, to gather and
analyse data.
o Present findings, strategies, and recommendations effectively to
relevant committees and authorities.
8. Continuous Improvement:
o Stay updated on the latest trends and changes in accreditation
standards and ranking frameworks.
o Actively participate in training sessions and contribute to process
improvements within the office.
Key Qualifications and Skills:
Educational Background: Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Data Analytics,
Statistics, Computer Science, Business Management/Analytics or a related
field.
Technical Proficiency: Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Power BI,
Tableau, and data visualization tools.
Data Expertise: Strong skills in data analytics, statistical analysis, and
documentation.
Knowledge of Accreditation Processes: Familiarity with NAAC, NBA,
and NIRF frameworks and documentation requirements.
Analytical Thinking: Strong ability to interpret data, identify trends, and
develop actionable insights.
AI Knowledge (Preferred): Experience in using AI tools or programming
languages like Python/R for analytics is a plus.
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills
to present data and strategies effectively.
Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize
tasks, and meet deadlines with accuracy.
Preferred Experience:
0-3 years of experience in data analysis, quality assurance, or a related
field.
Experience in institutional ranking or accreditation processes is highly
desirable.
