32. (a) The angle of elevation of the top Q of a vertical tower PQ from a point X on the 5
ground is 60°. At a point Y, 40 m vertically above X, the angle of elevation is 45°.
Find the height of tower PQ. (Take √3 = 1.73)

(b) The angle of elevation of an aeroplane from a point on the ground is 45°. After
flying for 15 seconds, the elevation changes to 30°. If the aeroplane is flying at a
height of 2500 metres, find the speed of the aeroplane. (Use √3 = 1.732)

36. A mint moulds four types of copper coins A, B, C and D whose diameters vary
uniformly. The first coin A has a diameter of 0.7 cm. The second coin B has
double the diameter of coin A and from then onwards the diameters increase by
50%. Thickness of each coin is 0.25 cm.
