For this assignment, you have to search for information yourself on the Internet and in applicable sources. Further guidance will be

Since the implementation of Outcomes-Based Education in South Africa in 1998, the curriculum has been reviewed. In your
discussion, the following must come to the fore clearly:

• Argue the reasons why the implementation of Outcomes-Based Education and Curriculum 2005 was a success or not a
success in South Africa. (not more than 1 page)
• Based on the challenges experienced with implementation, what did the Chrisholm-commission recommend in improving the
curriculum in South African schools. (not more than 1 page)
• Critically discuss why the National Curriculum Statement is seen as the ideal curriculum for South Africa? (not more than 1
page)
• Explain the National Protocol for Assessment (Grades R-12). (not more than 1 page)
