Task-4: Creating Project Plan Using JIRA Tool

1) Go to a Web browser and search for JIRA Software free trail.

2) Click on the free trail Web site of JIRA and register for your Account and
create a new default website.

3) Enter your mail and password give a new Name for your website in
Atlassian JIRA software account.
4) After giving a new name for your website select the option Project plan in
type of work.

5) Select Scrum among the 3 options and click on Continue.

6) Now give name for your First project that you are creating.

backlog a website with the given project name is created

8) Click on Create button at the top of the panel in the created Jira project
website.
9) Click on Issue types and select the type of Issue from the drop down box.

10) Here first let us Create a Issue type with ‘Story’.

11) Give a Summary Name, Select the status ‘To Do’.


12) Assign a Team to it, define some story points.

13) Select an existing issue and give Role to the Story such as Administrator
or member or viewer.

14) Click on Create and a SCRUM-1 with Issue type “Story” has been Created.

Issues With Timeline:

1) Click on Create and select the Issue type as “Epic”.


2) Select the status type for the issue you created.
3) Give an Appropriate Summary for the Issue.

4) Select the name of Team you want to assign the Issue.


5) Fix the Starting and ending date for the Issue.

6) Select a Colour for the Issue created.


7) Open any Issue if existing or create an other Issue and assign to it.
8)Select the Role you want to assign to your Epic Issue.
8) Click on Create.
9) Now click on ‘Timeline’ present in the Left margin.
10) You can observe a Epic Timeline bar graph shown with some
deadline date from starting to ending.
11) Similarly Create some more Issues with Issue type as ‘Epic’.
12) Select some other type of Issues and Set different Deadlines and
give different colours to the Issues.

13) The Final graph for several Deadlines and Timelines will be
shown as below.
