Expected Answer:I would use Excel to clean, filter, and sort large datasets efficiently. Pivot tables
help summarize and extract key insights, while charts like histograms, scatter plots, and trendlines
visualize patterns. Additionally, conditional formatting and data validation ensure accurate interpre-
tation of the data.

Candidates Answer:We could try using the pie charts and diagrams and bar graphs. We could first
like try cleaning the datasets and preparing them by removing duplicates, handling missing data
and then we could use analysis like pivot table sorting and filtering then statistical functions. Also
like I mentioned the charts are good visual representations. We could also use power queries and
power pivots for any advanced. Crypt analysis if required.

Question 1:How does a DC-DC converter work, and where is it commonly used?

Expected Answer:A DC-DC converter regulates voltage levels by stepping up (boost) or stepping
down (buck) the input voltage using switches, inductors, and capacitors. It is widely used in bat-
tery-powered devices, electric vehicles, and renewable energy systems to provide stable power.
Efficient DC-DC conversion helps extend battery life and improve energy efficiency.

Candidates Answer:Next circuit that converts direct current from one voltage level to another volt-
age level and it is used commonly in battery powered devices, power supply and electric vehicles
I assume. Basically it regulates voltage by switching and energy storage components like indexers
and capacitors and the main types are step down and step up. Uh DC DC converters. Step down is
also called bug converter and step up is called boost converter. There is also a bug boost converter
that can increase or decrease the voltage.

Question 2:What is the role of sensors and actuators in a mechatronic system?

Expected Answer:Sensors detect environmental changes and convert them into signals, while ac-
tuators respond to control signals by performing mechanical actions. For example, a temperature
sensor in an HVAC system detects temperature changes, and an actuator adjusts the air con-
ditioning accordingly. Together, they form the foundation of automation and intelligent control in
mechatronic systems.

Candidates Answer:Mechatronic systems are like a combination of mechanical, electronical and

software components and sensors, actors, input devices like there are different types of sensors
like position sensors, temperature, proximity, torque sensors, et cetera. So they try to gather inputs
and actuators are like output devices that uh, perform actions like hydraulics and electric actuators
like motors. So these 2 combine work together to function properly. With receiving inputs from the
sensors and then performing that actions to the output actuators.

Question 1:What are the advantages and disadvantages of using IGBT vs. MOSFET in power
electronics?

Expected Answer:IGBTs (Insulated Gate Bipolar Transistors) are efficient for high-voltage applica-
tions, while MOSFETs (Metal-Oxide-Semiconductor Field-Effect Transistors) are faster and better
for low-voltage applications. IGBTs handle higher power but have slower switching speeds, where-
as MOSFETs switch faster but suffer from higher conduction losses. The choice depends on the
power and frequency requirements of the system.

Candidates Answer:I would say both IG, BT and MOSFET are widely used in power electronics for
switching applications. So like the choice between these 2 depends upon the voltage and frequen-
cy and efficiency requirements that we need. So using IGBT for high voltage and low to medium
frequency applications and MOSFET we can use it for low voltage scenarios with high frequency
applications.

Expected Answer:A rectifier converts AC to DC power, while an inverter does the opposite, con-
verting DC to AC. Rectifiers are used in power supplies for electronic devices, whereas inverters
are used in renewable energy systems and uninterruptible power supplies (UPS). Both are crucial
for power conversion and energy management in electrical engineering.

Candidates Answer:Rectifier converts a C current to DC current, that is alternating current to direct

current, whereas an inverter converts DC current to alternative current. And rectifiers they use
diodes whereas inverters use IG, BT or Mosfets.
