Using SolidWorks Software in “Thapar Institute of

1. The Minimum hardware requirement for installation of SolidWorks as
shown in figure 1:

2. Download the Software from the following HTTP site using any internet
browser (Only download using TIET network) as shown in Figure 2.

3. Enter user name and password for login as shown
in figure 4.

4. Click on the Download Software link the software

9. You can install free 7-zip software to extract the file at
faster speed.

20. Close the SolidWorks for borrowing Network


License for use outside TIET campus.

21. For use outside the TIET Campus you must borrow the License for
Maximum 28 days before going to home.
22. Select the SolidNetWork license Manager Client 2018 as shown.

23. Click on License Borrowing Tab as shown.

24. Select SOLIDWORKS Standard, Select the date for which
you want to Borrow (28 Days Max.) and Click on Borrow
button as shown.
