If site has 3 sectors and two technologies
• The first 3 sectors from ( sec 1 to sec 3 ) for the first technology such as 3G 2100
• The second 3 sectors from ( sec 4 to sec 6 ) for the second technology such as U900

If site has 4 sectors and two technologies

• The first 4 sectors from (sec 1 to sec 4) for 3G 2100
• The second 4 sectors from ( sec 5 to sec 8 ) for U900

If site split to 2 cabinets and each CAB has 2 sectors with 2 technologies
• The first 2 sectors from (sec 1 to sec 2) for 3G 2100
• The second 2 sectors from ( sec 3 to sec 4 ) for U900

2 sectors

• Sec 5 , 6 , 7 , 8 ( Sec 1, 2 ,3 ,4 U900 )
3- Radio Building Block RBB

At the end of log you will find diagram for 3G site connection
From this diagram we get this 3G site has 2 DUW 30 cascaded

The Master DUW 30 (1/1) has

• 3 RRUS 12 B1 connected to first DUW at port A ,B ,C
• Each RRU configured with 2 Carriers

The Slave DUW 30 ( 1/2 ) has

• 3 RRUS 02 B8 connected to port A , B ,C
• Each RRU configured with 2 carriers

4- Output power for each sector

Search in log by ( Maxtot ) to get out power for each sector

In this case output power for all sectors = 80 Watt

5- Baseband pool distribution

Search in log by (get . Baseband) to get baseband pool distribution

Baseband pool 1 has 6 carriers
• Carry First and second carriers for 3 sectors 3G 2100

Radio Mixed Mode TRUE RRU has two technologies mixed

Radio Mixed Mode FALSE RRU has one technology single

7- Node group if defined

Search in log by ( get nodeg ) to get node group Priority for DUW

In this case node group for DUW with priority = 1

8- Carrier license capacity

Search in log by (get . Licensecap ) to get max no. of carriers can supported
with DUW license

In this case
• Current carriers in this DUW 12 Carriers
• Max no. of carriers can be supported 18 Carriers
9- Finger print

Search in log by (get . Finger ) to get finger print for DUW to request license with it
10- Check for VSWR

Search in log by ( cabx ) to get VSWR value for each sector

If VSWR Value
• Greater than 15 no VSWR alarm
• Less than 15 VSWR alarm on this sector

In this case no VSWR exist for all sectors as values greater than 15
11- Check for CVs & upgrade package

Search in log by ( cvls ) to get

• All CVs created on DUW
• Startable CV
• Current upgrade package
12- Get IPs

Search in log by (get ipaccesshost ) to get IP Access Host

We get IP Access Host = 10.64.56.211

So, IP Host Link will be = 10.65.56.211 we increase the second No. by one
Search in log by (get ipinterface) to get :
• Gateway for IP Access Host ( Tellabs IUB IP ) Traffic 10.64.56.209
• IUB VLAN ID 1027
• Gateway for IP Host Link ( Tellabs MUB IP ) management 10.65.56.209
• MUB VLAN ID 2027
Then O&M access configuration on DUW will be

IP Host Link Configuration (Page 3) IP Sync Configuration (Page 4)

No. of TX branches 2 for all 3G sectors & 1 for all U900 sectors
15- check for Alarms

Search in log by ( alt ) you will get alarm list ( internal & external )
16- Configurations of external alarms if defined

Search in log by (get . Alarm ) to get defined external alarms

Search in log by (st alarm ) to get status of external alarms ( Lock or Unlocked )
