Social Problem

Social problems are major conditions and behaviors that negatively impact society as a whole. They have two elements - an objective element that proves the problem exists, and a subjective element that the problem is harmful. Some examples of social problems are child abuse, poverty, racism, and domestic violence. To address social problems requires social actions like implementing social policies, advocacy, and innovation to create solutions that target the root causes of problems at a structural or individual level. Addressing social problems requires cooperation across government and its citizens.
