Introduction
• In nursing profession, Every nurse needs to follow the
written rules or principles issued by our nursing
profession.
• We need to become the member of Professional
organization.

• During student life, they are member of student nurses


association. They have to follow certain criteria and have to
meet the essential requirements of that particular
association. They can get their membership in various
international nursing organizations.
National organization:

1. Trained Nurses Association Of India (TNAI)

International Council for Nurses ( ICN)

• TNAI is the only professional organization in
India since 1905.

• All nurses must possess life membership and


photo ID card.

• Nursing students who enroll themselves as SNA


members now will become TNAI member as per
the new plan

• Evidence based practice/ Best Practice has become

mandatory in health care industry. Nurses need to

critically assess relevant scientific data or research

evidence to implement high quality intervention for

their practice.
Participation in research activities:

Nurses after completion of graduation, masters

and doctorate in nursing, participates in research

activities. Conducts nursing researches in

administration, clinical and community field to update

the knowledge with latest information. These

researches provide the bases for improvement in

Open access journals are scholarly journals that are

in a parliament or congress. It is also called minutes or
