January 1842 – 16 January 1923)
was a British educator and
reformer in England at the turn

THE IMPLEMENTATION
1. Grade 1 of elementary school only have academics sessions
for approximately 1 hour a day, after that they are free to do
other things, as long as their obligation have been completed.
The 1 hour session can be include
 Learn to read 5 minutes
 Learn to write 5 minutes
 Study mathematics 10-15 minutes
 Listen to readings and give 15 minutes narration (subjects can
be history, geography, literature, religion or science)
 Read poetry for 5 minutes
 Memorize scripture for 5 minutes
 Weekly subject 10-15 minutes (can be painting studies, music
studies or nature studies)
 There is no homework (allows children to have plenty of time
to pursue whatever they are interested in)

SUMMARY
 Charlotte Mason is a great educator who not only focus
on intellectual aspect but also focus on spiritual, and
nature aspect that can not be separated from children
as human beings.
 Through the method she developed, hopefully it can
fix the education system that gone wrong.
 Charlotte Mason’s educational philosophy emphasizes
the holistic development of children, integrating
intellectual, moral, and spiritual growth.
 By connecting children to nature and guiding them to
know and understand their Creator, education could
fulfill its highest purpose: to nurture well-rounded
individuals who appreciate the beauty of the world and
live in accordance with their faith.
