You know, now that I've had time to calm down and think about it, the EMTs were probably acting this way because they thought we were trying to "granny dump" a compromised elderly person on the hospital. I'm sure they deal with that a lot and it's exhausting.

His condition was clearly severe and they were still 100% in the wrong, but it makes more sense to me now why they didn't want to do their jobs.
