I think garashir fans will have Garak eroticising Bashir's deceptive abilities post-outing, but not enough have His eroticising the augmentations themselves. Garak was explicitly appreciative of Bashir being "strong" in distant voices. Hes from a culture with strict hierarchy from birth. You think he isnt going to be horny about his situationship turning out to be genetically designed to be at the top of the hierarchy? You think the fascist imperialist isnt going to be hot for the ubermensch metaphor?

Not to mention the fact, with the reveal of the augmentations, Bashir become much more attainable in a way he wasnt before. If the federation hates him, how much easier does it become to drive a wedge in between? How much more justifiable does spiriting him away to cardassia become if the federation wasnt home to begin with?
