Raindrop races | boo seungkwan

seungkwan x gn! reader | fluff | 200 words | no warnings A/n: @wheeboo enjoy Rania!! 🤭

Pressing his face up against the living room windows, Seungkwan lets out a loud sigh. You were supposed to go out on a little date to the nearby carnival, but with the torrential rain pouring down, that idea got thrown out almost immediately. It was a pity too, the carnival was ending in three days and this was the only time you both could make it.

A little poke on his cheek broke Seungkwan out of his thoughts. He stared up to find you smiling and extending a mug of hot chocolate towards him. Making his signature fake crying face, gestures towards the rain outside before gratefully accepting the hot chocolate.

Seungkwan sighs, muttering, “it’s a pity. I really wanted to go with you,” multiple times under his breath. You wordlessly take a seat next to him and sip on your drink.

After letting him drone on for a while, you say, “Kwannie, have you ever had a raindrop race?”

“No? What is that?”

His puzzled expression makes you chuckle. You turn towards the window and use your finger to trace a falling raindrop.

You explain, “You know, when the raindrops cascade down, they group together in different directions with different raindrops that are already on the window. And the raindrop eventually falls to the bottom of the glass. A raindrop race is when you each pick a raindrop and see which one falls first. Whoever’s raindrop falls first, wins.”

Intrigued, Seungkwan copies your previous action. Watching in childlike awe, Seungkwan laughs as the raindrop falls, getting bigger and bigger while gaining momentum before falling with a “plunk” at the bottom of the window.

“Baby? You’re on. I’m going to win though,” Seungkwan smugly declares.

You spend the rest of the afternoon together having raindrop races, watching as the raindrops fall. The competition itself is soon forgotten, as you both just enjoy each other’s company. Although Seungkwan still sporadically complains about the carnival, he can’t deny that this time spent inside with you was just as fun (and possibly even more).
