"bean soup" aka "if you don't like bean soup maybe this bean soup recipe isn't for you" aka "not everything is about you and that's okay", if nobody has explained it yet
That's a pretty strange thing to say to a person who's correcting your overgeneralization.
"Such and such is how things always happen, and if you're not X, you don't get to compare your experience to X"
"Not always, it was actually different in my situation"
"WELL GEEZE NOT EVERYTHING IS ABOUT YOU!"
This is also a strange usage of “bean soup”, because the situation this came from wasn’t people trying to correct an over generalization, it was people being hateful under a recipe for bean soup because folks were complaining about them not liking beans, and therefore directing their hatred of beans towards the creator as if that was ever the creators problem. They were just posting a recipe. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
