Udonge Retrospective 2025

2025-12-28

Hey, here's a post that relates to the site's name, somewhat.

As some of you are no doubt aware, one of my all-time favorite characters is Reisen Udongein Inaba from Touhou. She's one of the first Touhou girls I imprinted on (I'd have gotten into Touhou sooner if I had known it had bunnygirls), and someone I've been consistently drawing the entire time I've been a fan of the series. So I thought it'd be fun to pick one Reisen drawing I did for every year since I've been drawing her and put them all in a row. I couldn't think of a good way to format this post for social media, then I remembered I have my own website! So here it goes.

I'm putting them from newest to oldest so the best stuff comes first, haha. Click the images to open the Art Gallery page for them.

The Solid Snake Quiz

2025-09-28

How well do you know Solid Snake? This is a "quiz" I put together in a Twitter (RIP) thread back in 2020. At the time, there was some news going around about a Metal Gear Solid movie, which is hilarious to think about now because talks of such a movie have existed since 2007 and there has never been anything concrete on that front. But back then, it seemed like things were moving along, because reports had just come out claiming that Oscar Isaac would be playing the role of Solid Snake. And since film news sites were unfamiliar with the MGS series they would often attach those articles with a picture of Big Boss or Venom Snake or something, prompting a lot of people to reply with a gif of that one scene in MGS2:

So I made a game for Art Fight

2025-07-29

I know, I know. I said I was going to write my "first real post" soon and then eight months later I haven't done anything like that. Honestly, I had an idea for writing some stuff about pixel art and console limitations and I did get far enough to start writing a draft, but... I honestly felt like I wasn't saying anything meaningful. Mostly just yapping about console architecture in ways other people have said better. I'm not sure what I'm gonna do about that post, to be honest.

But that's not what this post is about. This post is about how I put together a little RPG Maker game in 20 days for an OC drawing event.
