"Clan Aruna." Mint says, looking to Dawn. "I think it sounds nice."

Dawn hummed in thought as she slowly guided Mint closer to her body to warm him up. Mint had a habit of self-consciously denying himself...well, everything. As her charge, he was definitely a handful but she knew the vulnerable kindness in him. Had seen glimpses of it during their travels. And he was in a much better place then when she first met him.

"Does it mean anything?"

"It was the name of the matriarch's hatchling daughter. The only one in her nest of five." Mint says as he accepted Dawn's nudges to settle against her. They were taking shelter under a large overhang of a cliff from the storm that appeared out of nowhere. The scent of the forest was strong as the rain pelted the ground. "She was in the nursery I failed to protect."

"Mint, you can't..."

"I know," He says, interrupting her. "I also know that it's always, always going to haunt me. But I thought maybe I could make it hurt less. If I can help create a clan with her name, she can live in another sort of way.

"Help me build that, Dawn? I would have never thought of it if you weren't with me." He asks, tilting his head back to look up at Dawn.

Dawn smiles, lowering her head to press her snout against Mint's head. "Of course. We'll make Clan Aruna a safe and beautiful home."
