The City
There’s a city hidden deep in the mountains, far away from the prying eyes of travelers. It had a name, once, but that scarcely matters now; tall spires and narrow arches loom above the cliffsides, their haunting ruins a testament to the city’s former glory. Of its previous inhabitants, only ghosts and whispers remain. Yet something lingers. Something ancient stirs beneath the cobbled streets and desolated plazas, recently awoken from its slumber by the sudden surge of magical energy. It is bound to the city, but even in its captive state, its strange powers can be sensed from far beyond its prison. They come here, the desperate few, meddling with forces beyond their understanding and unknowingly chaining themselves to this forsaken place. It claims and it conquers, and their lost souls will do its bidding. |

Honestly, all our Vae Victis copies sold out pretty fast. I think if you kept enough gems on hand to reprint, you could keep the AH constantly stocked and make money from AH surfers while waiting for forum-goers to fill up a reprint list.
